Christina is a senior lecturer in Intellectual Property Law, Negotiation and Dispute Resolution and Contract Law at the School of Law, RMIT University. Christina is furthermore an NMAS-accredited mediator. She is a graduate of law from the University of Southern Denmark and La Trobe University and holds a PhD in law from La Trobe University.
Christina's scholarly work spans from copyright law and technology to dispute resolution and emotion in conflict. Her research interests are mainly in intellectual property law (with emphasis on copyright law) and appropriate dispute resolution (emotion in conflict). Her research has been published in leading international and Australian journals including the European Intellectual Property Review as well as Psychiatry, Psychology and Law and has presented her scholarly work at national and international conferences.
Christina has extensive experience in teaching intellectual property law, negotiation and dispute resolution (appropriate dispute resolution), contract law and business law. Furthermore, she possesses knowledge and experience from not only the common law but also the civil law legal tradition. Christina is committed to implementing innovative and authentic learning design, leading and collaborating on learning and teaching projects that enhance the student learning experience through the use of technology, storytelling and techniques that develop the emotional intelligence in students. Christina has engaged in scholarship of learning and teaching, has co-authored journal articles and blended learning and teaching design and has presented this work at national and international conferences. Christina has been involved in innovative course design that won her and her team a College award in 2022.
