Dr Jessica Pallant is a lecturer in Marketing in RMIT's School of Economics, Finance and Marketing.
Jessica is a dedicated marketing academic with over a decade of industry and academic experience. Her focus on market research and data analytics has led to a diverse set of skills and a deep understanding of the marketing and communications industry. Her passion for teaching and research is evident in her work. She completed her PhD, exploring the human experience of mass customisation technologies, including how consumers perceive different types of customisation solutions and the different consumer segments that exist.
Her work on customisation was recognised by the nation's leading marketing conference in 2016 with the ANZMAC Doctoral Colloquium Best Paper Award and she was the recipient of the ANZMAC Emerging Educator of the Year Award in 2023. Her recent research focus has been investigating how AI will change the way we live and work. She has already published a peer reviewed publication on the paradoxes of AI for education and run industry workshops for retailers run by Inside FMCG and sponsored by Adobe. Jessica is currently looking at the impact of AI on human creativity.
