Dr. Muhammad Atif
Dr Muhammad Atif is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing. Before joining RMIT, he accumulated academic experience at Griffith University, Australia, the University of Essex, UK, and Macquarie University, Australia.
Atif's research interests include corporate governance (board dynamics and diversity), corporate sustainability, disclosure and accountability, and capital markets. His research has appeared in leading international journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, The British Accounting Review, Energy Economics, and Journal of Business Ethics. His research has been featured in media outlets (e.g., Forbes, The Telegraph, Daily Mail, and The Conversation) across Europe and the US.
Atif is an ad-hoc reviewer for several leading international journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Journal of Corporate Finance, The British Accounting Review, Energy Economics, and Journal of Business Ethics. He is a recipient of several internal and external research grants and supervises research students. He has extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
