As a graduate, you will have the necessary foundation to further specialise and apply your knowledge in fashion enterprise as an emerging entrepreneur or intrapreneur across large, medium or small global fashion enterprises, or further study.
In addition to the multitude of fashion management areas you will cover - including fashion buying, merchandise planning and allocation, and trend analysis - this course will emphasise new practices, from data-driven approaches to interactive virtual environments, transparency of global value chains and improved practices in a sustainable and circular economy.
Throughout your degree, you will develop expertise across several fashion management areas including.

You will collaborate with industry on projects, connecting with experts and gaining insight into how fashion enterprises operate today, and opportunities to develop new models of practice.
You will learn through a range of in-class and online activities that will require both individual and group work. In-class activities develop your ability to enquire, investigate, analyse and solve problems related to the fashion business.
You will experience a variety of interactive learning and teaching approaches that include Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities, problem-based learning, case study methods fashion business simulations, and global mobility opportunities. The integration of work-based learning and academic learning in this course will allow you to solve authentic workplace problems, and address real issues faced in organisations. You can expect to receive industry peer review on your projects and activities.
Your assessment throughout this degree will vary based on your subject selection, but will include assignments, projects and presentations. In a symoposium held each semester, an external industry panel will formative feedback on your work.
The types of classes you have will depend on the course you’re studying. Classes are offered in various formats designed to provide meaningful engagement with staff, industry and peers and provide for access and use of spaces where learning can be applied and active, including an array of specialised equipment.
Most RMIT courses do not include passive large-scale classes such as lectures, instead the content traditionally provided in lectures is made available online. This may be in the form of readings, videos or other on-demand learning materials. This content will also support the basis of interactive learning that takes place in on-campus classes.
As part of your studies, you will collaborate with industry, research and community partners in a range of activities, including partnered projects, placements, virtual studios and case studies that ensure you are immersed in current industry practices, techniques and strategies.

Undertaking a certificate, diploma, advanced diploma or associate degree can help you meet the entry requirements for your preferred course. These qualifications often provide credit, reducing the duration of your bachelor degree.

Credit, recognition of prior learning, professional experience and accreditation from a professional body can reduce the duration of your study by acknowledging your earlier, relevant experience.

Upon your successful completion of the Bachelor of Fashion (Enterprise) degree, you will be eligible to undertake further study in MC213 Masters of Fashion (Entrepreneurship), subject to the program entry requirements, will be granted 48 credit points (equivalent to one semester) credit into MC213 Masters of Fashion (Entrepreneurship).
You are guaranteed entry to the Bachelor of Fashion (Enterprise) when you successfully complete the Associate Degree in Fashion (Business and Retail stream) with 3 semesters of advanced standing (equivalent to 144 credit points).
Alternatively, you can gain entry from RMIT Foundation Studies or a range of vocational study programs.
Credit may reduce the duration of your study by acknowledging your earlier, relevant study experience.
When you are submitting an application, please indicate that you want to be considered for credit and provide detailed course syllabus (also known as course outline), outlining volume of learning, course content and weekly topics, learning objectives/outcomes, assessment types and their weightings, and reference to the learning resources such as prescribed textbooks and recommended readings.
When you successfully complete this program, you may be eligible for entry into an RMIT Honours or Postgraduate degree.
In 2025, the annual student contribution amount (tuition fee) you will pay for a standard year of full-time study is between AU$4,627 to AU$16,992*.
Amounts quoted are indicative fees per annum, and are based on a standard year of full-time study (96 credit points). A proportionate fee applies for more or less than the full-time study load.
Fees are adjusted on an annual basis and these fees should only be used as a guide.

Your share of the fee (student contribution) is set on an annual basis by the government and is determined by the discipline areas (bands) of your individual enrolled courses, not the overall program.
The Australian Government has introduced changes to university funding and student contribution fees under its Job-ready Graduates Package.

Each course (subject) falls into a band. The band determines the student contribution amount for the course.

The Australian Government provides financial assistance via the HECS-HELP loan scheme, which allows eligible students (such as Australian citizens or holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa) to defer payment of up to the full amount of their student contribution.
You may be eligible to apply to defer payment of the Student services and amenities fee (SSAF) through the SA-HELP loan scheme. If you use SA-HELP, the amount will be added to your accumulated HELP debt.
If your FEE-HELP and/or SA-HELP loan application is successful, the Australian Government will pay RMIT, on your behalf, up to 100% of your fees. This amount will become part of your accumulated HELP debt.
You only start repaying your accumulated HELP debt to the Australian Government once you earn above the minimum income threshold for repayment, which is set each year by the Australian Government (this also applies if you are still studying). The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) will calculate your compulsory repayment for the year and include this on your income tax notice.
